Ouch.......Got bad pain in my Lower back
I know lower back pains are very common while training but what should I do. Today is my rest day so I've not tried to do any training. U think it'll be alrite 2morow or u think I should rest it for longer?

When it comes to your back you cant take any chances so go and see a Doc ASAP. Also you could PM Rob Parry with the symptons and he might be able to help as he's been a reliable source for others.

The only thing that stops your body before you pass out is your mind. Never give in!
For Ash and other new users here is what I posted for Statistics benefit. Treat your back with respect, it supports your body, sounds obvious doesn't it, but think how often you abuse this structure. If you think I'm preaching you may well be right, I've got six 60mm bolts two 150mm rods and a bone graft holding my lower back in place. I'm one of the lucky ones who can walk. Read on.

For those of you experiencing back pain, a couple of hints;
Sciatica is pain like a knife cut or severe dull pain along the line of the sciatic nerve in your leg and or buttock. It travels from the small of the back, along the buttock, the rear of the thigh into the calf muscle and in many cases into the foot. It may also cause 'pins and needles'.
Do take the prescribed medication, it may bung you up, but without it your system will not start to recover.
Do not lift awkward loads/ train with back packs etc. A back injury is a permanant injury. Give it a chance and you may, just may, manage to keep going.
At night, if you experience sciatica, for example in your left leg, lie on the left side, as this will help open the joint. I know this sounds stupid but believe me it works, sleep with a firm pillow between your thighs and try to keep your legs straightish. The pillow prevents your legs closing, and relieves a lot of stress on the hip joint, through which the sciatic nerve passes.
Do not use deep heat creams or something similar on the sciatic nerve; unless you are interrogating someone, or have a deep masochistic urge.
Do keep mobile, keep the back muscles moving, swimming is the best exercise. Pounding a road or treadmill is bad news, it jars the spine and the discs.
Some swear by cold packs and heat packs. I've only used hot water bottles; try it and see what works for you. Always keep your back warm, it supports your whole body.
I hope this helps, as with many former Bootnecks I've a comprehensive knowledge about back injuries, if you need help send a PM.
