CQB Training?
Yes to CQB Close Quarter Battle Simulations, and FIBUA Fighting in Built up Areas.
RM's in Fighting Sections do this in the Commandos and in training. it is usually a precursor to operations and exercises. Mne's plan and exicute these training packages on their Junior Command Courses (forpromotion Cpl) and Cpl's do it for Troops on their Senior Command Course (for promotion to Sgt)they are called BHE's or BE's Battle Handeling Exercises. where casualty evacuation, tank stalking, and CQB to name a few are exercised and drilled.
Practice makes perfect and thses things are practiced regularly in units.

One of the most enjoyable and usefull courses I have ever went on was the PPW users course held in Ballykinler Training camp in N. Ireland. It was taken by the Army SASC from Ballymena. I was on a rear party and had a few days off so I asked the training officer if he could get me on it and there was no problem at all. I got there and we spent 3 days driveing around the ranges doing anti ambush drills and shooting in the village and so on. This was all done with pistols in civvies as the course is really designed for off duty Royal Irish members.
