Re: Retreat & Bunker

Post by Admin »

As a temporary measure the Retreat has been removed.
With the New Year approaching, we feel that everyone must have trust in each other and work together.
Please at anytime let me know your thoughts.
We appreciate your help in this matter.

Afternoon Admin!
Please excuse my ignorance however I'm a tad confused as to how removing the Retreat is connected with the above?
Albeit I do have to agree with the sentiment ..
"When you men get home and face an anti-war protester, look him in the eyes and shake his hand. Then, wink at his girlfriend, because she knows she's dating a pussy."

Trust is the key. No more hiding. No more backstabbing in a closed category. All forums for the time being will remain open with no closed categories.

Admin,
Thanks for the effort. Much appreciated

Very simple, here we go:

Mods should moderate.

They should uphold and enforce the Terms of Agreement with parity and transparency.

Mods should not 'stick together' out of some form of misplaced loyalty.

Bullying, lying, hypocrisy and cowardice by anyone should not be tolerated.

Everyone is treated fairly and with courtesy, irrespective of rank, cap badge, time served or length of membership here.

In fact if UK's politicians did the same..........................Nah that would never happen!

Repetition should be avoided and 'sighted' spelled correctly. All those who criticise the moderation on here, please step up to the plate and show us how to do it . We bow to your superiority.

I forgot one:

Moderators should be able to accept a little bit of criticism and deal with it appropriately.

Beast,
As you mentioned, your moderators
carry out a bleedin' good job
trawling through messages looking for minor typing mistakes.

I expect they are so busy doing that they have no time to deal with the less important issues like lying, bullying, hypocrisy and cowardice.

Bullies, liars, hypocrites and cowards beware!
and

"Send me a PM and I may publish"

The only pain here seems to be yours.

Has this Forum offended you ?

How odd?

This forum hasn't offended me. Why would you say that?

No pain for me. I am quite amused that you would think that.

Do you support bullies, liars, hypocrites and cowards?

I have received dozens of PMs and have only ever published one in open forum. That said I would publish any PM if I deemed it appropriate.

Just picking up on your 93 pages of entries -- 1384 postings.

A large number of them appear to be negative remarks, indicating that
someone has offended you in some way. Some defensive and some
offensive.

The majority of threads in some areas are yours - some one liners and
some with depth.....

Very little positive to say about Forum colleagues at all really......

Anyway, I just listen - that's what we do, and normally not on these pages

I am very pleased that you took the trouble to read all my 1300 plus posts. That is very gratifying.

Your perception that many are negative remarks is flawed. What constitutes a large number? Your conclusion that my comments must indicate that someone has offended me is wrong. Don't apply for a job as a detective.

No one has offended me. This is a discussion forum. It's a bit of fun. Who would take it too seriously? I expect there are some who would, but not anyone with an ounce of wit.

Didn't read all of your posts Steve.... just glimping to see where the
problem could be..... Thought that you'd still be awake and online !

This Forum is not only 'just a bit of fun' it's a bit deeper than so.....

We have a banter - but it can't be compared to any other type of blogging
you'll see around the net. Perhaps that's where the offence can come in.

Take a re-read of your latest two pages... you may just see a point.

Probably see you over on OAMAAM as well.

I'm off, late for old men
