When should I give up and call it a day?
I have looked into the possibility of Morton's Neuroma and I don't think that is the cause of the problems, I think the problem I have is most likely "2nd metatarsal overload syndrome", this website shows a picture of the exact place I am receiving this pain. http://www.northcoastfootcare.com/footc ... lgia.html#
Well, I went to see the podiatrist yesterday, I asked him to take another look at the area to see if he can spot anything unusual and that exactly what he spotted. Here's the problem, my second toe is the same length as my big toe, this causes the toe to collapse and then lowers the 2nd metatarsal head so all my weight is put onto that one spot instead of distributing the weight evenly, this pain will be at it's worse when running on hills and especially worse when sprinting.
So in the end my podiatrist gave me some special soft padding for me to put into my shoes, he doubts that it will work, but I'm willing to try anything.
So, I'm going to buy myself some boots, buy some top quality insoles and stuff it with this soft padding, as this seems to be the only thing I have not tried.
If anyone has any more suggestions or can recommend some good quality boots I would really appreciate it. Thanks again.
