Kin Harry Redmans, today mate, plus forty, phew what a scorcher.
I was on site in a long sleaved shirt, long trousers and baseball cap, talking to an Aussie in shorts and flip flops. I was mister cool and he was sweating his testicles off.
Would you like to stand in the shade mate?
You know you`ve been here too long when Aussies start complaining about the heat and you`re thinking how pleasant it is
Can`t see what the prob is meself
I`ve been to plus forty and minus forty and been really comfortable at both extremes.
Mind you, it`s a right bastard trying to dig snowholes at plus forty

I have yet another boring question, it was asked on another forum would these guy's, or a small sub unit ever do (HALO/HAHO) type parachuting, some said maybe, some said no, I stayed clear, as usual not having a clue, so I thought I'd ask the more...informed cadre of gentlemen we have here, maybe/not ever?.....Mr H feel free to use me as a verbal punching bag

No probs mate.
Some parts of SFSG will be qualified in Static Line Square parachuting, which is similar to HAHO, but confined to 5,000 feet. The SLS parachute is an older design that doesn't have as good a glide ratio as the HAHO parachute. Note the recent news article about the "SAS" (signals) Captain who died whilst carrying out an SLS descent.
HAHO/HALO jumps go up to 25,000 feet. Only SAS and PF do it.
