pre-selection results

Post by potential-para-pricey »

hello all ,this is my first post on this site.

right i attended a pre-adsc on tuesday and i got the following scores

9.45 min run time
9 heaves
icebreaker=A
urined the jerry can walk

and my question is, i want to go para would the run time only be the problem in passing the legit adsc or would i need more heaves aswell ?

thanks

Hey mate

Yes you need to get your run time down bellow 9:18, although I'd advise getting it more like 8:30 so you can still put in a good time if your having an off day. I'd also say you need to get double figures on the heaves, but to be honest I dont know the passing score for paras so you might get away with 9.

Cheers

hi potential-para-pricey

my recruiter told me that the guys at ADSC are looking for people with sub 9min 1.5miles. some people say that if you lift a certain amount on the static lift then it increases your run time. i dont know if its true or not so i would just try your best and train your bo***cks off and do your best. as for the pullups i agree with skeav, the minimum is 6, but you should be aiming to get double figs around 12 so that you can impress them and show that you are serious.
