Only reason Crown Vics (or Lincolns) are still used here is beacuse they are the last of the rear-wheel drives. A dying breed. Once I'd shipped my vehicles out here prior to the move in july, a buddy lent me his no. 3 car for a couple of weeks. An '84 Crown Vic. I nicknamed it "Angie Dickenson" who I used to drool over as a kid, as it was a nice old ride. Absolutely mint.

Pursuit guys here have gone with Mustang GTs now and many of the city plod are using Impalas and even Intrepids (had one - it blew up!).

The rural municipal cops back in Alberta were issued supercharged Dodge 5.7 Hemi R/Ts last year. Hell of a car!

regarding cruisers I loved the Crown Victoria because it had plenty of power,handled reasonably well and had room to spare for the odd miscreant or two.
The traffic enforcement people have been playing with a Dodge Charger of late(So I'm told)

Patrol are being kitted out with Impala's,way too small and underpowered.
State law means the Chevy as equiped cannot be driven by law enforcement as it does not have a full size spare.

So as it happens the other day I am looking at some pics of bootnecks where I dont know, but there was a pic with 4 or 5 black marines in it green berets on and I just didn't like it it didn't seem right.But then I havent lived in the UK for 37 years and never got used to seeing the black population incremently embed themselves in UK society
So I am a racist shoot me.
But then in the early sixties I swear we had 10,000 3 badgers . So I guess needs must , nowadays I couldn't see those big lardy white arsed buggers in the UK going into the services.
