im an RMR phase 2 nod and when i was down at CTCRM for the phase one course i saw lots of regular nods swanning about in Lowas! whats all that about? i assume they are allowed to wear them for classroom evolutions only and have to revert to issue boots when doing phys?

Lowa's are (or were when I was there at least) only issued for foot/ankle/shin problems. If you've not got them for medical reasons then it's CS95 all the time.

Bring back the DMS boot or failing that the SV Boot say oie!

At the height of my career within the Corp of Royal Marines I used to wear German Para Boots. They were "The Dogs Bollox" when it came to comfort and keeping your feet warm and dry. Christ knows what the Krauts did to make them so kind to me feet but by heck they were ace!

Bugger bringing back DMS!

German boots are spot on though, I've got a pair of German goretex boots which are superb!

Their new (ish) version of the old Para boot is even better than the old one too.

Meindl boots are the dogs these days...again, German.

The pair i bought have a system inside it that heats up and moulds to your feet. Gucci or what! :D
