18-24 months??????

Post by Gunner worsley (OP) »

hello all its been a while since ive posted on here although i always have a quick look on to see whats new!! basically my question is on the navy site (which looks great now its been re-done) it says after training a clearence diver must spend 18-24 months with a mine counter measure unit does this mean i would be away at sea on board the ship for the whole 18-24 months or would we be able to come home in that time my instinct is that we wouldnt be expected to spend 24 months at sea because very few people would want that??? i only ask because although my heart is very much set on becoming a shark wrestler i have family commitments primaraly a long term partner who i think would struggle being away for such lengh of times thanks in advance and please if any1 in the know could get back to me that would be great

Thats the time spent on draft, you won't be at sea for the whole time. You'll be posted to either Pompey or Faslane.

Of course, this is the least of your worries. You've got to pass the course first.

Harry - It was going well, but I picked up an injury so i'm getting massages from some shhhexy physio chicks for the next couple of weeks.

Raring to go for the next course, just hoping the damage done isn't permanent. Ace course though, even with all the beastings.
