cheers for the links good clips specially the last one, ive been to iraq and was speaking to a couple of the lads out there and although some aspects of the job werent great but thats the same everywhere all in all it seemed to be better than mine as at least they were getting out on the ground, just i know the raf regt do seem to be spending hell of alot of time away at the moment in various parts of the world plus all the work-ups that invloves, which at the moment doesn't bother me as i'm young and single but obviously as you settle down.
whats the average guys are doing away ive heard its somthing 6 months of the year?
but never thought of jut getting on a pgac i must admit thoguht that would be just for those in the application process

depends what you want out of a career mate. i was given a load of bolloxs when i joined up ul be dong this youll be doing that.... I came to learn that you WILL be doing a lot of stagging on, guarding basrah airport and searching sweaty ****** all day at vcps! Its not all bad though when your not on tour lifes pretty easy.

If on a Sqn, 6 months in 18 is about average as we are doing simultaneous Ops at the moment. Elsewhere, difficult to say, depends what job you are doing.broders120 wrote:whats the average guys are doing away ive heard its somthing 6 months of the year?

Re the PGAC, I am reliably informed that ALL potential TG's go through PGAC, including re-branch. PGAC is allocated through AFCO's, which probably doesn't help you much, if you are in Akrotiri.
Ahh......Akrotiri
