Post by Andr3w »

Ive been in to talk to the RAF about joining as CIS etc, so im going to go in on monday/tuesday and fill in an application form!!

Anyway, i forgot to ask if i fill the form in there or if i take it home? also if i fill it in there, what do i need to take? Do they need anything like a passport?GCSE grades?current works address etc?

At some point they will need to take a copy of your exam certificates, passport, national insurance card, medical card (medical number), birth certificate, driving licence (if applicable).
Take them with you, saves having to think about it at a later date.
All the best.

Standard application form mate.
personal details
school/college/university details
work history
criminal convictions
etc.
Don't worry about it mate, it is all information about yourself so you know the answers anyway, any problems with the forms and the recruiter will help you out, after all he will be trying to recruit you!!
Most people take the forms home and take them back to the AFCO upon their next appointment.
Your best bet though is to stop worrying and just go and get this stuff done, it's really not an issue, the quicker you get the ball rolling the quicker you can crack on with training.
Remember the whole process can take a few months, so no time like the present!!!
Good luck.

If you're filling it in at home, see if you can make a copy of it so you can make sure you remember your dates etc when you have your interview! It's a bit of a nightmare sometimes, specially if you're old like me and they're asking you dates of stuff you did at primary school!

And fill it in in pencil first, then go over it in pen, leave it to dry and rub out the pencil. Sounds noddy, but better than making a mistake and having to go in and ask for another one, or hand it in with corrections on.

Have you not read any of the above posts???
Of course you can fill it in at home.
You will be given a self addressed envelope to return the forms to the AFCO or alternativley you can take them in by hand, it doesn't matter either way as long as you have given all the required information your application will then progress.
You will be contacted a short time later by afco either by phone or letter.
Simple as!!
