Totally agree thats all they had to do is just cough up the soldier's.

Anyway the Mid-East is always having a go, I would be looking more towards Asia for the WW3 thing.

But you got to ask yourself why suddenly New Zealand wants to backfilp on their Nuclear Free Zone stand, to let the US enter their ships.

Hmmmm makes you wonder.

hasn't the gulf supposed to be WW3 or Afghan?

Israel has been at it for years and will crawl back into it's hole once they have been shamed once again.

I am sick and tired of all this, all I see on the news out here is that. Families crying for the missing and the dead, I hate this type of greed, politics and religion is the main frigging factor of wars and countries and leaders need to stop and think for once.

Not that they will. I still think 9\11 was allowed to happen by the US Gov for them to use that excuse to raid other countries. Think of me little for that but most leaders are full of greed or war mongors.

Edited: sorry being a prat, my keyboard has fecked up after some mong (me) dropped a drink over it!

I am slowly becoming sick to the back teeth this the state of Israel and its masters. where as I do not hold with Hezbollah or any terrorist organisation, I do believe that the Israelis are way out of control in the systematic an wholesale levelling of Lebanon, who’s people have little or nothing to do with the present outrages happening in their country.

The Israelis are bowling at a sticky wicket, the government of Lebanon was already weak before their intrusion, It is now probable that the present government will be taken over by yet another extremist body causing Israel to be surrounded by hostile states

I have often wondered where the state of Israel found their money, as they appear to produce very little on the world market… Check out the following URL and you will then see how thay finance this and other conflicts.

Can I just bring us all back to the simple fact that Hizzbollah (or hezzbollah) kidnapped two soldiers. If this simple little event had not happened none of this would have happened. Im not saying that everything would be fine and dandy but the present conflict is all to do with the kidnapping. And you cant tell me that lebanon didnt know or couldnt indeed do something about it. For me they deserve everything they get. Lets not forget Israel are doing there best to use accurate airstrikes where as hizzbollah are firing indiscriminately into Israel why arent people jumping down there throat. Im not Jewish but Im sick of this constant anti jewish media coverage. These people are fighting for there very exsistence, give them a break.
And British citizens, half of those that they were rescuing could hardly speak English and didnt look very English to me!!!

If i've got this right, the majority of the people who were fleeing Lebanon were people who fled the first Lebanon-Israel war and came to Britain. They then got British passports and went back to Lebanon once the troubles had died down.

Hey up mike Im not saying they arent after a fight to say that would be stupid all Im saying is in simple terms this present conflict would not have happened if the soldiers werent kidnapped its as simple as that. The Israeli's have been given an oppurtunity and they are taking it, I cant say I blame them.
I hope I wasnt being accused of reading the sun by harry that would be terrible. Id rather listen to George Galloway and we all know what a plonker he is.
All Ive done is see things from my point of view and I like to make things black and white, it doesnt mean Im some sun reading council estate baby popping dumb ass.

Ey-Up Bertie m'boy... have been bust renovating the country seat for a while, Her Ladyship came out of hospital...I retired and then we went on Holiers to the Isla Del Blanco to see me ageing Mum...... home for a month then its 10 days in the Irish Republic and home again...

September will see Frank, JR,me and others at the splendiferous bash at the old country club, near t'common.

After that who knows where..... but over Noo Yeah we're off to Acapulco to join the P&O Arcadia for a 15 day cruise thro the Panama and on to Barbados... 3 stops in the pacific and four in the Caribbean......

To be honest I really don't know how I found time to work over the past 43 years

Now what was it I came on here to say...? Kewe….? Awwww life is to short for all this…. Lets hope the Arabs do their worst!!

Your right life is too short for all this lets hope they all kill each other and leave us with a nice large stretch of land which could be used for the worlds largest amusment park, maybe the occasional water slide and lots of cnady floss take me back to my youth. Maybe an adult section, catering for all tastes.
Glad we sorted out the middle east now I can move onto more important projects like where I put my barbie dolls and wondering if Ill ever have a threesome with twins!!!

Yes lets hope that, so Israel can finally rid themselves of that constant pain in ass they have got.

Oh what am I saying, if its not one group of crazy nuff nuffs, its another that want to bend Israel over and say " Come on you know you want it!"

I really don't think laying back and thinking of England is the way to go. :o

That's utter bollocks.

British Forces in Iraq have had men taken by the enemy. Did we then proceed to level all of Basra?

British citizens in Iraq have continually been kidnapped, but not once have we responded by bombing civilian targets.

British citizens in Afghanistan have been kidnapped, but Kabul is still standing.

We had hostages being held for 4 years IN Beirut, but did we bomb the f@#k out of Lebanon for even a single day of that?

There is no law stating that if your citizens are kidnapped, you must proceed to bombing campaign, do not pass go, do not collect £200. Israel is perfectly capable of showing restraint, as Ariel Sharon demonstrated in his latter days as PM. The current Israeli response is totally disproportionate, as most Israeli military action has been for a very long time, there is absolutely no arguing with that, it is simple logical fact. The only question is whether you believe disproportionate response is justified in their situation.

PRM I didnt say this was the start of WW3  i just said thats where i and a few friends said it would most likely start, yes i believe that Israel could have shown a bit of restraint too, but why did the hezbollah have to kick it all off. The only losers here as usual are the innocent locals :-?

Sarastro,
You said :

The big difference was that they were British citizens!
At least the Israelis at least try to look after their citizens.
Our government hasn't got the balls!

It is also quite interesting to see how this thread has split contributors into Arab or Israeli sympathisers!
