Hunter

Post by beardo »

Seems the MF Curse has struck again

Been in hunter for 4 weeks now with a stress fracture, which is gutting, especially seeing my troop back off dorsets leap yesterday. But I suppose I'll just have to crack on

I do hope he hasn't fallen by the wayside. I know his first name was Rob. Anybody know anything else?

Shrek,
only cos you lot keep breaking them! The newer models are obviously not as strong as the older ones. Perhaps the service intervals should be reviewed, new bodywork every so often, perhaps a look at the fuel filters. NOD's are prone to not starting in the cold weather  I hope beardo makes it out if he hasn't already...

Sneaky just to let you know, last i heard Rob was being medically disharged. I think they wrapped on him as it would take too much time and money to get him fixed. Saying that though i've been outside for a bit now, so im not 100% upto date.
Its a shame cos he's another good bloke who seems to have just been unlucky.

It isnn't any shame to to be medically discharged.

Hello chaps

I haven't looked on the forum for a while and I'm afraid to say it's true - NFA Med.

I have to admit I'm a proud man and it's been hard to take, I am feeling ashamed and I know perhaps i shouldn't. Part of it is that I never really had a fair crack at the whip so I don't know whether I'd have been up to it.

In the end I guess I'm not.

I have a patella tendon problem and I'm not sure whether it's going to be fixable or not. Waiting on the physio but I'm hopeful.

I chose to opt out on the PMOs advice when he discharged me as I figured a med on my record would hinder a police app but to be honest i just want to go back in, and like so many others I didn't want to leave in the first place. I don't think I can shut the door on the RM at the moment.

I really am not sure what to do now but my heart says to go back and finish what i started and i think the missus knows it but hopes that i won't.

Rugee - how are things old bean?

Sneaky - you're on for that beer! PM me when you're free.

Chubs you old son of a gun, how the devil are you?

Don't be ashamed buddy! you would of passed out if you could of, its not your fault your patellas knackered. If the corps didnt think you could of made it they wouldnt of let you pass selection or the PRMC.

I still have my bitter and twisted moments but it does get better with time ive only been gone over a month or so and i feel loads better already. Dont get me wrong id love to go back (I still get a hard on when i see the adverts to join the corps in FHM and the cinema) but my injury has fu*ed me, so thats a chapter of my little life over with.

It happens to the best of us :P besides your a human being again and have all that freedom, so lay back relax, have a beer and make the most of it.

Take up hunting, thats my plan.

Love Ian :fadein:
