6 Nations Rugby Union.

Post by DelD »

After a poor opening weekend (quality wise) with France, Ireland and Wales getting victories, has anyone any thoughts on how this tournament is going to end?

Even before today's poor performance, and the injuries to D'Arcy and BOD I think Ireland are overrated and will get beaten by France and England (and possibly Wales), with the decider being between Wales and France.

Wales to surprise us all then and Grand Slam.

hmmn, id have to disagree with you there, I thought Ireland put together some really good rugby in patches against Italy, and would of been my favourite to win if the they hadn’t lost two of their best players to injury.

England were pathetic, and a far cry from the world cup winning team, I mean we lost to Wales for god sakes :o

France HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. They didn’t deserve a win against Scotland.

Wales will be a real contender for this years grand slam, but I think they will struggle with Ireland if they aren’t to injury stricken.

I thought Italy played the best rugby of I’ve ever seen them play to date, give it another two years like this and they will win a six nations.

France will soon restore Jauzion, mange, betsen, harinoordiquy and yachvilli (possibly even michelak and brusque) and I think it'll all change in their favour. Not least because they have the finest backrow in the world

Let's not take anything away from wales and scotland but they're achieving at their peak - no other gears to go up.

Ireland have a consistent, steady side with good players that have gelled and settled well together. They have 3 or 4 world class players but that is it. Having said that though, they have to remain favourites for those reasons and because their main rivals are unsettled and under -performing and have to travel to lansdowne road, a veritable rugby fortress.

England have also had injuries which prompted bad selections - I think you'll see a very different england next time round.

Wales deserved to win... England were crap!

The world cup winners have all but gone, this squad need to put in the work that they put in to become as good as them. Previous form don't win trophies!

Do they do kicking lessons for amateurs down there? because if they do I think they should be shipped to CTC sharpish !!!

Now I’m not being funny, but at international levels of rugby I would expect the fly half of a former world cup winning team( isn’t that a distant memory now :( ) to slot those types of kicks away. I could of kicked half of them for god sakes and I was a forward.

hodgson is doing a great job in securing Johnny’s place for him when he’s all better.

18 - 17 to France, DAMMIT :o

cohen is not playing too well at the mo and has been moved in to the centres for the saints.

Kicking . . . . it's all about the arse out - Jonny swears by it and he never misses!!!!

The pose they need to adopt is not too dissimilar to that of a man that has had his marriage proposal rejected in no uncertain terms by a disgruntled ladie that is unhappy at the size of the diamond. Note the look on his face before he kicks and the upward glance as if asking god to kindly remove the pain - thats the pose they need.

They should visit CTC and be beasted to within an inch of their lives until their eyes bleed... hourly... for a month... and then some.
They need a good thrashing as they are crap!

I like it Artist, very amusing.

I quite like it when England play Ireland in Dublin, as the band have to play GSTQ.

Perhaps the England players will even the score for us Ulster folk after her recent remarks and insult the President of "Ireland" again this time. :D
