You really cannot believe the shame that this violence brings to our country, personally if Croatia beat us on Monday night, I and I think many others would say thank God!

Wholley, if it was a girls' game we wouldn't have this problem! Never hear of anyone rioting over netball, hockey, women's football etc...

It's a shame that a small minority of drunken idiots can have such a large effect on the way a whole nation's football supporters are viewed. These people aren't really there to support our national team, that's just an excuse to go somewhere hot and get very drunk with the lads. Unfortunately violent behaviour can often be a side-effect when you get lots of drunk lads together. And before anyone gets on my case about being sexist, I know women can be just as bad, and sometimes even worse than guys, but when it's football it's nearly always men.

Have to just say well done to the Czech Republic, cracking game last night!
Some really good football from both sides, but in the end they were the stronger team, Baros and Smicer in particularly good form.

Holland V Czech Republic.
What a fantastic, exciting, and quality football match. :D :D
Both sides showed how football should be played. That game was the best of the tournament so far. The Czech showed great spirit coming back on a 2-0 deficit.

Wholley,
These so-called English fans are hooligans and are not interested in football at all. Also, Germany and Holland have their fair share of small groups notoriouslu famous for bringing the game in disrepute. Unfortunately the English fans seem to get the most media coverage in these unfortunate events.
I wonder if it is possible to ban alchohol before and after the games

This is true.
I was serving behind the bar and it was a quiet Wednesday evening.
There were only 4 lads sitting at the bar, when in walks 2 lovely ladies obviously out for a good night. They were dressed very sexily [if there is such a word] and one of the lads knew them and brought them into the company.
After a few drinks, the patter turned to sex.
These 2 girls began to relate there sexual fantises, and one of them started to describe in great detail, which I won't go into[but it involved a hammock] what they would like.
The other then started to describe her fantasy, and described in great detail what she would like.
It involved Graham Souness and the centre circle of Ibrox Park.
Immediately these 4 blokes started to talk about "Football".
I couldn't believe it , the two girls left these four blokes arguing about football, and I was left very frustrated.

as said before it is only the minority who act in such stupidity, so its pretty streotypical of you to judge the whole country like that, and also it is the so called "fans" who arnt even attending the games, are the ones that are starting the trouble.

From what I've read it seems the English are being better behaved this tournament than for a long time; there's still small groups out for trouble, but there are from every country. For once the English aren't being singled out for particular attention from the media (except our own!)...
