Yeah, the Rockapes Break dancing society - never heard of them? During selection you have to spin on your head, and drag your Knuckles

I aint usually 1 to take the hump over nothing but is there any actual relevance to your post fevernova? Ive seen you've completed your PJFT for the marines - well done. Ive passed that too aswell as completing a PRMC (&passing). I suggest you wait til you have got through your entire basic training before taking the piss out of any other service or regiment. You aint there yourself remember.

Perhaps you just like the idea of dancing with some hairy-knuckle draggers?

If you were just having a laugh then fair enough - we all need to maintain a sense of humour but, if you are taking the piss then i advise a little growing up is to be done on your behalf. For you who is only going through the initial recruit stages to make comments about people who are already there & doing it makes you look very childish IMO.

Tattoo, one of my friends "fevernova" posted a question about dancing earlier on, it was on my behalf ya see.

I've danced for years and was training to be a professional, and I've been torn between dancing and joining one of the forces and I've now chosen to join the RAF.

Now one of my mates from school was home on leave a few weeks ago and mentioned something about wanting to try kick boxing. Which got me thinking, are there any opportunitesto do some kind of dancing whilst serving in RAF? As i've danced since I was 7 and I'm now 19, I feel it would be a shame to give it up completely.

Then my apologies to both of you.

Fair 1 i was wrong & misunderstood your question for a p*ss take. Although im sure im not the only one here to do that due to the fact that this thread concerns sports in the RAF regiment & the RAF regiment is only open to males.

My feeling is that perhaps your question would have been answered properly had it been explained in a more thorough manner & as its own thread rather than tagged onto this one.

Best of luck to you sarah, hope you are able to continue dancing while in the RAF.

Sarah,

id say keep it under this topic heading (general discussion) but make your own thread, that way you can make it personal to you & hopefully get a decent reponse.

Like you say fevernova, it can be difficult to get the question you're asking answered. Let's hope sarah can get hers answered by someone in thr know. Sometimes a comment or joke can come across the wrong way in writing & cause mistakes like i (& im sure many others) have made.

Apologies for not replying quicker, i dont spend a lot of time on the internet anymore.

After a couple of minor setbacks everything is back on track & i will be attending a PGAC next month. Real fired up & raring to go.

I have to admit that i did look upon the RAF Regiment as a 'lesser' option compared to Royal Marines but, having been to honington & spoken to NCO's etc i have the UPMOST respect for RAF Reg! They are damn f*cking good at what they do. Cant wait to be part of it. Two of the NCO's i had contact with are (to me at least) the absolute business. If i could attain the standards of fitness, ability & knowledge those men have it wouldf make my militery career.

Thanks for the interest in my update.
