Oh, and I'm reckoning on approximately say three months until OASC (assuming I get that far!), so I'm starting now. Iraq knowledge is pretty good, but there's lots of other things I'd like to brush up on - better to be confident about it I think.

Current Affairs research

I'm applying for WSOp (got initial aptitude tests nexts tuesday), but my Current Affairs knowledge is somewhat lacking. I figure now is a good time to get started, but I'm still looking around for resources.

Anyone got some decent websites for information, or hints on where to look?

Cheers

Staff Nurse (RGN) (qualified) is recruiting.

Student Staff Nurse isn't recruiting at the moment. My local AFCO thinks it'll be about August before they re-open recruitment for it.

Erm, ironing hair? Surely that's not very safe, and also rather awkward too....??

I suppose it shows ingenuity though, lol :o

It's pretty inaccurate, it only actually makes sense for one particular and specific body type/shape etc. I'm JUST in the ideal range, slightly below overweight. Which I know is absolute crap, I'm quite a way from overweight, lol.

Maybe a quick call to the AFCO is in order? I'm sure they'll be happy to give advice...

It's to do with how you land and where the weight moves as you run. I'm an 'over-pronator', which means when I land, my foot rolls inwards slightly. It's all to do with the shape of your feet basically.

The problem is, if I don't wear trainers designed for this, I have a tendancy to get shin ...
