If you have asthma you can't join. It doesn't matter how fit you may be.

If I recall correctly you need to have been free of any medication/symptoms for at least 4 years prior to applying.

It's gonna come up at some point so the best thing you can do is start getting used to it now. Go to your local swimming pool, walk around in the shallow end, etc etc then when you've settled down go for a few swimming lessons.

i hate wearing them they get so damed hot and uncomfortable (i used to wear them in fire cadets

Your down to 13.28 already that's good boy, and btw i've been told by my recruiter situps and press ups are only best effort but the 1.5mile run and the jerry can excercise we must pass to get through ...

I eat well before excercise but I do have lots of drinks just before I go out.

Could be why, they're a sure fire way for me to get a stitch when I run.

I go for my runs 2-3 hours after eating and drinking, never suffer from stitches.

One time I had a fancy energy drink just before the run ...

You dont wana be standing out for the wrong reasons, just really get into the fittness think ARMY ARMY ARMY .... works for me :oops:

and just to be REALY mean, walking in the middle of a run is a very bad habbit to get into, just slow ...
