I do beg your pardon, i knew what i meant
Yes, quite right, you do apply as a WSOP, but as stated, they then stream you.
Sorry for any confusion, was just thinking of pilot route because i wanted to be SAR pilot, but learnt this was not something you could simply apply for.

TBH, as nice as somalia is this time of year, i think NATO and the UN have got quite a lot on their plate at the minute, and it hasnt gone down too well with the public, any further deployments wouldnt be a good move with the current state of affairs.

Can any one explain why these people were boarding ships unarmed,

They werent unarmed as such, the had the usual rifles etc, but they were outgunned and so did not offer resistance. I do believe the Iranians had RPGs and Machine guns (From the news anyhoo...)

Dont forget, as has been mentioned above, that you cannot simply apply for SAR. Your suitability for different roles is measured, you may end up being streamed into fixed wing aircraft, and never even touch the rotary wing stuff. So just remember, you apply as a WSOP and they branch you off into ...

Hi all,
I know very little about this book, other than it concentrates on the extremists located within Britain, terrorist cells etc.
It looks to be quite a good read, just wondered if anyone has read it and their views??
