Re: Army Bricklayers

Most artisan trades in the Engineers do combat engineering before their trade, alot don't touch their trade for years and then it comes up and you're expected to know everything about it. On tour it depends on the type of tour your unit is doing and how good you are at your trade. Why not branch out...

15-17 pull ups is good as long as you're doing them properly. You should be fine on the bodyweight exercises you might need to work on your strength for the dynamic/static lifts if you're bothered about scoring well at selection.

Hopefully the selection centre pass you but they may want you to see a specialist to decide whether you're healthy enough to serve. Good luck.

I sometimes feel sick whilst running and sometimes feel like shitting myself. I'm sure this is down to eating before you run, if you leave plenty of time say 3 hours before you run its not so bad. The psychological side of running always gets me before my body gives up, i need to find a way of getti...

I was just thinking you don't want to give this guy false hope. By the sounds of it his teeth are pretty bad and we all know how critical the armed forces are when it comes to medicals.

They didn't check my teeth when I went although I believe they do at Phase 1? Just go to your dentist and get it sorted. They should've checked your teeth, they checked mine. If you can't chew food that's obviously going to be a problem and people get deferred for a lot less. Why would the army hav...

Would'nt the best route to get into diving be the quickest? So perhaps a shorter phase 3 trade would be ideal, something like ME Driver. I talked to an ex-royal engineer diving instructor about the process, sounds tough: "Once you join the engineers you can apply to become a diver, and you will...

Going back again on the 17th-18th of Feb, i was deferred on the medical the first time back in December. Around 7 or 8 of us were deferred at the medical stage. Get some good sleep the night before, alot of people were nodding off during the medical. Good luck.

I don't see how you could fail the interview not on performance anyway, if you said you'd murdered someone thats probably a fail but apart from that you're good. Just dress smartly, be honest, but try to upsell yourself. The first interview is probably with your recruiter, the second is with a highe...

I have my ADSC at Lichfield on monday 15th Dec, i was reading about which station i should be at and it seems they pick you up from Trent Valley station but on my rail warrant it says Lichfield city. Did my recruiter put the wrong information in on the warrant or should i just get off at city statio...
