Post by stu753 »

I understand that you have to do 50 sit ups min. in 2 mins when joining the army. are this assissted, with a bar/bench etc or unassissted cos i can do 50 with a bar but not one damn unassissted one.

If you can't do one unassisted sit-up, you're probably using your thighs to pull yourself up, it's not good technique.
There is no fear, there is only the force.

Do or do not, there is no try.

Not for selection but you will during the fitness test at phase 1. You may have to do push ups and sit ups during the PT session at selection.

for sure, not sure if there is a minimum you have to do to start off with 'depending on reg' i think, but its best to still put them in your training, as i hear you get to do alot of them at catterick
