Hello all,
Thought I should clear up what happened here as I dropped off the radar for over a year and this thread never went any further!
Unfortunately when I went for my medical with the RMR I failed almost before I'd walked in the door as I've dislocated my shoulder on numerous occassions ...

Hello all, just so you know I haven't forgotten to post those other circuits yet, just been pretty busy this week with job interviews and such. I'll have them up within the next week hopefully!
Jammin, you're right about the numbers, 190 if you count Aces as 11, 170 if you count them as 1, not sure ...

There's another factor which you haven't taken into account here Toffly. Being a soldier isn't just about yomping 30 miles and then stopping at the end for a pie and a cuppa. Once you're at the end of whatever load carry/speed march/yomp you've had to do then you have to fight a battle, which means ...

I think it follows a similar format to PRMC, but not identical. For instance, our PTI has been telling us that along with the bleep test, push ups, sit ups and pull ups we also have to do max burpees in 1 minute.
3 miler will be the same I imagine, but as for the 'bottom field' part of PRMC I'm not ...

One Killer Circuit!!
Hello everyone, haven't posted for a while as not really had a lot to say lol. RMR holding troop is ticking along nicely. I'm still the least fit person there, but I have seen improvements in my fitness and once my exams finish (tomorrow!) I'll be able to really push on with it.
Anyway, my reason ...

At the moment there's no new developments on this front, as for me personally, I'm still attending holding troop (although we're on easter leave at the moment, thank god, as I'm full of cold!). I'm still awaiting my medical, which has been delayed due to problems getting hold of my old medical docs ...

SF - Officers role
Just as a general question, could someone in the know shed some light on what an officer's role within special forces is? In the limited amount of literature I have read on SF it appears to me that most patrols consist of small groups of 4-8 men under the command of their NCOs. The kind of larger ...

Just a quick point to note - you can't 'transfer' between TA and RMR as such, if you're in the TA now you'll have to get officially discharged before you can start with the RMR. They'll also have to get a copy of your discharge papers and also your medical papers from the TA. You can still get the ...
