I haven't been myself, but from what i've heard from most lads, is don't go straight from the box. You will get pure sprog routine all day and all night. Good if you've done a couple of years, especially for phys, as your behind the wire for weeks on end, not much else to do(get a briefing course bo...

When I did my POC, I had only A levels (or I was about to achieve them), they did say it would be helpful if I went to uni. I was actually doing my POC and AIB for a bursary, to be paid(about £2/3,000 a year, i think?) to go get a degree. Plus the fact if you have a degree (also making you over 21)...

Luckily some of you lot have missed this year's mountain training!
Going downhill is by far worse than going uphill, well that's with one of those things on your back.

Well done on getting the tape, now you just have to keep it. I've just got off final ex, so if you want any heads up for phase 2, ask away. As for the hardest exercise i would say it was violent entry, just for the yomping we did (damn you and your steep hlls sennybridge!!). Enjoy your leave while y...

What compass is used in RT?

Just trying to get a picture to slide into my affairs folder, can't remember what it's called exactly, lightweight compass.

Thanks in advance, i know this doesn't deserve a new topic.

For press ups i've been trying this out, doing 10 press ups, then resting on my knees for 5 sec then another 10, do about 10 sets so getting about 100 press ups out in a couple of mins, give it a go. For PRMC i used just do 3 sets of something then build it up, then did later on would do a set of 60...

One tip, don't go to the new strip bar, unless you want to spend 2 weeks with no money! One quetsion, i've got the ranges when i get back, whats the routine for that, do you have to do sentry when you're in your ponchos? The parties that you have, aren't much till after week 15 i'm guessing, you're ...

I'd definitly add some sprints int there somewhere, the usual press ups, sit ups and pull ups should be there 4/5 times a week.

I'd keep the gym work but focus on your legs and back, weighted squats etc. Especially if you're micro sized like me, bergen carrying could be made easier!

Goodluck jay, hope you get what you want!

Yeah the YO's on my course were on exercise.

So Fubar, what happening with yourself, are you waiting for the 2007 batch, is there a chance you might not get in again, if there is high pass rate again?

Hope you make the cut.

Fubar, where is the nonsence coming from on this thread. If it is directed at me, the fact that i am only saying what i saw from the POC candidates, compared to my PRMC, however i will say the training staff were a great crack, i also didn't get the chance to see any YO's. "If you go on POC and you ...
