The programme is more of an advertising campaign trying to get more people applying. The Marines are a lot of fighting solders down and this programme as well as adverts in cinemas is trying to boost the profile of the Marines. This doesn't do the programme credit as it doesn't give a true account ...

What is ITV doing to the reputation of Marines?, the programme doesnt show anything that makes up a royal. Wheres all the military training or the phyz?. The programme just focus's on Terry, which it shouldn't be about.

Although the programme did feature some of the aspects in the first bit of RT, it didn't portrait a true insight. Although they cannot possibly fit everything into the first episode, a lot of vital things were missed out. The programme has made RT look easy and that Jon guy, what a complete beefer ...

Final Ex is a hard excersise. A lot depends on the weather, in the Winter your going to be cold all the time and in the summer you are going to be extremely hot. No matter the conditions its going to be extremely hard, but its the last one soo your do it.

Im pretty rubbish at speed marches. I always hang out soo much, whereas yomps I find ok. I have the same problem with ropes as you, everytime it seems to get harder, maybe its a mental thing- but I have done the climb with the full weight soo I should be ok. A good tip is to always look up the rope ...

AAhhhhh Hunters moon and survival ex. Survival ex is a good excersise as long as you dont waste any of the animal parts, which our troop did. This resulted in a 30 minute thrashing from and ML's and a nice submerged dip in the ogging. All good fun :D

Im got 11 weeks left now. The main fact is they need numbers, we have been told time and time again that instead of binning people who are not at the correct standard, they would rather try and train them to the correct standard. Obviously the test standards cannot be changed but the order of tests ...

You dont get binned straight away, thats s##t. You do have a lot of criteria tests, that if you fail you will get backtrooped, but not binned straight away. One guy in my room has been backtrooped 9 times for various thing, thats really true. Maybe thats a rare case, or maybe they need numbers.

Don't take this the wrong way but 'civvy scum' is a bit harsh. You cant really count yourself as not being a 'civvy' after two weeks when its just two weeks of basic admin and phyz. I dont think any NOD can say that untill they have passed out as a trained rank. Whats is in that two weeks that ...

I knew I had a heart mummur when I was a baby, but grew out of it. However on my medical he could detect a faint 'echo mummur' which is common in a few people, soo I had to get a letter of my GP. As the other lads said, you have to get it checked out with an ECG and ultra sound, which I did anyway ...

In week 8 now, its an admin f@#k week- full of inspections. However we are on the bad side of the training team, they are definetly not happy with us and we are in for a lot of 'motivational training' as they call it, just a question of when.

Dunno if anyone else gets this, but I slide around in my shadows, not because they are too big for me, but you wear your black boots socks and the padding inside the shadows is slippery. After camp circuits this sliding makes your feets really hot because of the fricition and it sometimes burns- lol ...
