When any of you guys passed selection and joined one of the UKSF e.g SAS how did you cope not being allowed to tell anyone. I would want to scream it from the roof tops as I would be really proud of myself!

Nerves + Bleep test

I failed PRMC a few months ago and can co back in Feb. Im really pushing myself and can notice my fitness improving.

Anyway, Im really nervous about going back to CTC even though Ive been before and know what to expect. I get butterflies and and cant help but worry about failing again.

all out sprint (i dunno if your allowed to do this in the real PJFT or whether you have to stick to a pace?!?)

You could walk on the PJFT then sprint, as long as you can come in within the time limit they dont care!

You sure can :D . I did but ended up pulling them out because I was sweating and had to keep stopping them falling out.

Its 1.5 miles mate. The time limit is 10.45 but its expected that you run it in under 10. I did it in 10.30 and was told i'd need to get fitter but it was still considered a pass.

Alright mate dont worry to much about the PJFT the guy at the afco say some lads run it in 8-9 mins and fail prmc even though some lads run it in 10 and pass prmc. Just keep training


I have been thinking about this and... Say a lad does it in 8 mins and I do it in 10.30mins and we are both ...

I have some with the mesh but wear boxers underneath, perhaps thats the problem.

I did mine in 10.30 which is terrible. I was suffering from shin splints which i thought had gone but they hit me mid way through and to stop would mean I would have a fail on my record.

To be fair though I could only do it in 9.30 at the time and was hanging out afterwards.

I have my aquaint day mid june and am really worried that i will have to cancel. I dont want to get there and them say im not ready to attempt PRMC.

How are you working around it? I ice then constantly and take perscription ibroprufen (sp) which helps. I managed a 45 min run the other day pain free ...
