I now find overgrasp ...

I'm afraid to say a 10.44  , as explained I was not very fit after the injury and was also running in a new pair of orthotics. My trainings now back on track but certainly still lacking CV fitness, I'm hoping the weekly sesh with the local RMR will help a great deal in that department in ...

Any lads with RMR Chatham on here?

Due to injury induced lack of fitness which resulted in a poor PJFT pass I've been asked to train once a week with the RMR Chatham at Brompton barracks. This will allow the AFCO to monitor my fitness and if neccesary reschedule my PRMC (in 6 weeks) and also give me a valuable sharpener and insight ...

Well gents we have a candidate for the worst PJFT pass in history, 10.44!!. I hasten to add this was not due to poor CV fitness but the running in of orthotics. My advice is simple, give your feet a fortnight to adapt or you'll regret it!, like running with your feet in a vice :x . It doesnt help ...

Well I finally saw a podiatrist who after giving my stance the once over confirmed I have over-pronation of the left foot caused by my right leg being shorter than the left!!. I was given a heel pad and off the shelf orthotics. Things are a little painful right now, getting used to them and I've got ...

Strengthening knee ligament.

Having had a recent knee ligament injury caused by a poor warm-up on a cold day, I was unable to run for 6 weeks. The injury in question was located snugly against the outside left of my left knee-cap. After this period which included many mobilisational exercises I gingerly took to the roads. My ...

Sports injury clinics

Having just been sent by my GP for an X-ray on my ankle for a suspected stress fracture (begining to get the idea the old bastard in the sky's got something against me acheiving my goal!!), I was told that the X-ray was inconclusive. The GP suggested the only way to know would be to have an ...

I was told around 10mph (16kph) would get you in around 9 mins plus the time it took the belt to get up to speed.

Farkin treadmills!

Made my first attemt at PJFT today, feeling very confident with my best mile and a half being around 8.35 ( on running track). Well I wish I hadnt!, jump on the treadmill got up to a steady 10.5 mph then let go of the handrail, cue me jumping around like a lunatic to get balance then my calf went ...

You have to attend a special visual acuity test if you've had surgery (night vision and the like), which there paranoid about. As regards havin surgery between PRMC and Basic, you have to wait 12 months after surgery till you can apply, so that may be a dead-end. Don't consider lying to the AFCO ...

If one was to pass the POC and then either fail the AIB or get passed over for an officer placement, would that POC pass constitute a PRMC pass if the applicant decided to enter as a recruit?, or would he have to start from square one?.
