Gary signing out and joining up :)

Post by Gary_amsterdam »

Well guys, I would like to thank all of you for getting me this far, without the support and information I got from this forum I doubt I would have been joining up this 'soon'. It took bloody ages joining from Amsterdam but finally I am at the armys front door.

In a way it hasn't really sunk in yet, I have no real idea of what to expect, but that's probably for the best. After today I won't have time to login anymore so guys, it's been great knowing you all, hopefully the next time I speak post here it will be telling you all of how great training is or that I have been kicked out for Idon'tknowwhy :) :drinking: :drinking:

my fitness has gone down a bit because I bruised my right foot/big toe and couldn't do any running for a while but I should be able to hack it. The only thing that is worrying me a tiny wee bit is a spot of eczema on the back of my left knee, and I have a bit of a sweatrash above my bum because of some dodgy boxer shorts rubbing while I was running but hey, f@#k it, what's a sweatrash compared to basic training :P.

I am going to give it 200% all the time to prove to the training team I am 'worthy' enough of being allowed to get a shot at the commando gunners/AACC. 100% and 110% isn't enough in my opinion.

This is my dream, every second of every day for the last year since it first entered my marbles that I wanted to join the British army this is all I have been wanting to do and now I am actually going to do it. It's quite scary, I don't want to let myself down.

Just for a laugh I looked up my first post : viewtopic.php?p=46904&highlight=#46904

:D

Guys, thanks a million for putting up with me, for all the advice and for taking the time to read all this bullshiite.

Gary over and out.

Good luck, Gary, show 'em what Dutchies (sort of) are made off!

Nice one Gary, good luck pal. I'm hoping to get into 29 as well so might see you there some day. Maybe this time next year.
