sorry is this is a bit off topic for the people who use this forum but My dad has suffered form PTDS for over 10 years , even though me and my brothers are completly different form him could this happen to me aswel or is it just the odd unlucky person gets it?Especially as im applying for the marines in 6 months.

Has your dad been to see the doc or anyone to be diagnosed with PTSD? and has he received treatment for himself?

As far as I am aware PTSD isn't a hereditary thing, its something that happens as the resultant fallout of a traumatic situation.

There are people and organisations out there to help your dad mate

Bird, has he actually said he`s a sufferer? Or are you assuming.

Private sounds good, he has been diagnosed with it so he says and has had treatment over the last 10 years , he was in the police for 8 years which did it.
