War Pensions, Read the booklet

Post by ratso »

I have been claiming myself now for over a year am on 40% with an appeal hearing next month. Though due to my setting up the FVF also deal with a lot of cases over the telephone.
The one thing that does show through is that you will only get what you ask for and they will not tell you about anything else which you could be claiming. I claim for my pension which at present is 40% though I early on read the booklet and also claim for Lowered Standard of Income which is over £40 per week, if I get the rise in my claim to 60% at the hearing then I can also claim for my children.

So if you are in doubt and think there is more you can claim for ring them immediatly and ask them to explain, it won't be backdated other than from the date of your enquiery.

If you don't ask you don't get, they will talk you through all areas of your claim and have specialists for each item, so ring them today and see what else you are entitled to or drop me a line.
