G'day guys,
well I've survived 21 May, 20 yrs on, out here in Oz. Notwithstanding a large degree of pain from the back injury, the legacy of that day. Nor the fact that I had to go to a funeral this morning, one of my 16yr old son's school friends decided to commit suicide last week, and it's been difficult making my Anthony understand! Then I had to go to work and put a difficult case to the top management as to why they needed to spend a lot of money on a new computer system. I won the day
What am I trying to say?
Well I suppose its something like, we are still here, we are going about what it is we do now. We haven't forgotten, nor will we! Was it worth it? Damn right it was! Would I do it again? Hell, I hope not!
Ironical isn't it that 20 years later, the Bde is again at war and our comrades are busy putting their necks on the line to try and secure that elusive state of freedom.
My thoughts and prayers are with them for a success and a safe return.
I send my best wishes to all that know me and hope that I can still reflect in this manner another 20 years from now.
best regards
Eddy Candlish

Good On Yer Blue! Sorry Ed, that's as Oz as I get....Life was never meant to be easy, just keep doing it, and don't forget those lessons....JCC in '75, a lunchtime nap will keep Father Steele away, or if not it will at least crease your woolly pully!!...I hope to get over to see all you 'new convicts' in a couple of years, in the meantime 'take care'
