I've only really read the US army survival field manual. I can't say if it's any better than those two, but it was free so that gets my vote :).

Never read a survival book but im a fan of Ray Mears and the like. Better to watch the pros demonstrate.

I thought Chris Ryans Ultimate Survival Guide was pretty good.

There's a couple of photos of him killing a sheep and gutting other animals as well, pretty graphic.

I'd like to see Andy McNabs guide to counter terrorism, demolitions, weapons and tactics, information gathering and counter surveillance in hostile environments.

Survival can't be learned from a book. You gots to get in the woods. Grungy, these guys are kids, cut them some slack. Your ability to make Southerners look ignorant is appearing to be equal if not superior to those efforts of the Yankee, not to mention such socialist organizations as the ADL and NAACP.
Sorry friend, but we like that kind of thing round here. Before you say "To hell you say!" You best think again friend, I'm probably the only friend you got around here. I like you fine, but your language and Howard Dean mastery of the Southern language is a bit exagerrated if you know what I mean. Serving the yankee all these years got you crazy, your old salt arse is in need of sweet tea with ice and lemon, a fat fried pork chop, fried cabbage and some not sweet corn bread. WWRELD (What would Robert E. Lee do?) You do love Bobby Lee and Jeff Davis don't you? If you don't you best start.

Let them call me a rebel and I welcome it, I feel no concern from it; but I should suffer the misery of demons were I to make a whore of my soul. (Thomas Paine)
