Gerhardi Davis wrote a book about standards carried by the Americans; French, Germans and British durung US Revolutionary War Period. One puzzle is at link at http://www.usa-flag-site.org/forum/brii ... #post36190

According to davis the flag Staff had Number XII on it-..could it have been captured during war of 1812? :popcorn:
