Joining

My brother is in the Army and although he doesn't regret the decision to join, it has changed him inside and out. His experiences have been frightening, exciting and totally demanding.

I want to join too - but I've had pressure from my parents who have been terrified by Dan's experiences. They don't like the idea of both their sons in the military.

We haven't had a lot of contact with him, but he looks and thinks very differently now. That chatry this lifre nge has unnerved my folks, and me.

I'd love to try this life for myself, but my main question is: if I was in, and discovered I had made a mistake and the life was not for me, could I leave before the four years?
