Can i join after having an ACL reconstruction

Hi,

I am thinking of joining as a combat medic but I have had a ACL reconstruction in my left knee using the hamstring graft. I have been to my local AFCO and spoken to an advisor who told me I had to take a form to my GP. I have done this but would like to know if any one you know has joined with the same injury. I am now rugby training 3 times a week and my knee is at the same strenghth as it was pre injury. any advice or help would be appreciated.
