What a load of ill informed twaddle...

Don't feel too bad about it, Ares; Mr. Dow is barking mad - or gives a very good impression of being so.

I think it is in very bad taste to use what happened to this woman to try and exploit your political ideas

I agree with the above from Tab.
So,for the first time in a while.
Ist Warning goes to Mr Dow
Two more and you are toast.
REAL Republicanism is not just be-heading anyone with a crown.

The people of Tenerife needed a president to get that madman locked up but could not get a president because the royals were in the way.
Sure we need good politictions, if there are any , but what you are describing seems abit dictatorial. the new President would have the same powers as the Prime minister both will be afraid of bad press, so doesnt matter if the Royals are there or not.

Would these people be in those wonderful republics such as China, North Korea, Libya, Yemen, Burma, Pakistan, Algeria, Egypt, Congo, Iran, Nigeria, Syria..... Er, should I go on?Peter Dow wrote: This is why innocents get killed in republics. Because even some people in republics don't support free speech and open debate.
Re: British woman beheaded in Tenerife. Royals fault.
I suppose that to be a good Republican PM of Britain it would have to a Socialist, are you saying previous PM like Churchill and many others have not been good PM's. As much as I enjoy a good argument I think in this case common decency forces me to close this thread
