The Hager Commando watch is our reinterpretation of the iconic military watch based on the specifications of the British Ministry of Defense and issued to Royal Marine Commando Special Boat Squadron (SBS) in the 1970s. It took us over a year and three prototypes before our vision was realized. The Hager Commando is a no fuss timepiece. It's CNC machined case, built from the ground up, houses the TY2806 21 jewel hand wound automatic hacking movement which beats at 21,600 beats per hour (bph). It features a quick set date at the 3 o'clock position and Novodiac shock absorber and Tritec luminova.
Hager [Hah-ger] Watches was started in 2009 with the idea of creating an automatic watch at an affordable price with the highest quality possible. Given the economic conditions, we felt that many watch brands were over- pricing their watches even though most of them utilized the same automatic movement. So we challenged ourselves to create a watch that almost everyone could afford without having to break the bank or skip a mortgage payment. Without spending hundreds or thousands of dollars you get the right look for the right price and it translates as easily from work to play.
