I am joining the British Army in march as a royal engineer but have also got a daughter on the way and she will be born in may, i was just wondering once i have finished my phase 1 and 2 training, will i get asked whether i want to be posted abroad or do i have no say in the argument?
Thanks

Re: Being posted abroad
I take it you do mean posting and not deployment?
You get to express preferences for posting, so you do get some say in the matter.
Bear in mind that our bases in Germany are all due to close in the next 9 years, and that leaves a limited number of places you could get posted to anyway!

You can have peace.
Or you can have freedom.
Don't ever count on having both at once.
