Thinking of withdrawing application

Hey I'm due to join the army phase 1 training in about 8weeks however am thinking of withdrawing my application. As I worry about my eyesight and after thinking it over I would prefer to get them laserd and reapply sfter a year or so. By doing this more jobs will also be open to me. Will I be able to re-apply later in life, or will they say no as I applyied before. I am a good canidate got an high A grade. I heve just decided I would prefer to get laser eye surgery before starting a military career. Thanks for any help.
