I'm Jenny, 22, and my boyfriend David has recently joied the British Army. He's sending me some pics today.

An unsettling time, but I'm pleased he's enjoying the new life.

Thanks.

I'm trying to focus on the postive aspects of this, rather than the inevitable fears that go with military involvement.

So much I don't like the sound of, but it is his life and his choice. He has made a big step. And especially today.

Thank you! The little contact I have had with the military, I've been really impressed with the manners and the throughtfulness. Most people, anyway!
