Info on ADSC???

Post by Chris46 »

Just curious as to how they go about things in ADSC, is it press ups/ sit ups/ pull ups max in 2 minutes? Then just general fitness? How far is the run they are no doubt going to have you doing?

And also what are you lot currently sitting at with your press ups etc.?

I never did any sit ups or push ups during ADSC, However we did do heaves, the jerry can carry static lifts that sort of thing. The run is 1.5 miles and is to be done in a time limit and that limit will depend on your chosen corps or regiment, Also there is the medical, ice breaker, grenade test, and team tasks. The course concludes with an interview with a senior officer. Im going for the royal logistic corps and got a run time of 9:57.

The medical is pretty in depth it involves a urine sample, hearing test , eyesight test and a physical examination which involves getting your boxers down lol. People fail on heart murmors that sort of thing. I had a history of heart problems with my family and they wanted my colesteral levels checked which turned out fine. The main thing with ADSC is giving it 110% on everything, on the team tasks be vocal put your ideas across, on the ice breaker be confident and on the physical tasks give it your all. Confidence and effort is everything and enjoy it, it is a good laugh. where would yoube doing ADSC?

Belfast probably. For the past year ive been taking persrciption meds for mild acne. Tablets werent that strong and i've stopped taking them now, also was given a course of antibiotics (pennicillin) about a month ago for tonsilitus. Never had it before, that was the first time. Will this be a problem for me joining?
