Hi,

Does anyone know the 1.5 Mile time for GUNNER SPECIAL OBSERVER? Also is there anyone who use to be or is in this reg?

Written Medical - Cleared.
Interview - Passed.
ADSC - 19/05/09 - Passed.
Chosen Man - 08/06/09.

ITC Catterick - 23rd August.

Chosen Regiment - The Rifles.

Green Machine, i don't know how far into your application you are but i was a few weeks away from selection when i was told that the Royal Artillery had ceased recruitment for a year, you might want to check with your AFCO if this is still the case.
Application - Done
BARB - 68 Passed
Basic Skills Test - Passed
Medical Forms - Cleared (eventually!)
ADSC Passed- 25/08/09
INT Corps Selection - Feb 2010
Chosen Jobs- #1 Operator Military Intelligence (Int Corps) / #2 Royal Corps of Signals

My time for the 1.5 mile always improved if some one was shooting at me

The lad's are right buddy The Artillery have ceased recuitment I managed to get in for the trade of Special Observer.

I go to Pirbright 16th of november and as far as my AFCO told me they are no spots going in the forseeable future for the artillery now.

As response to your 1.5 mile question it's just the standard time for all artillery recuits hope that helps

i think even though there is different run times for different jobs they prefer you to run it in under 10 minutes, this is basically what i have been told at my AFCO

Yes,but the enemy were using 69cal.Pumpkin slingers back then :P
Rate of fire gave you plenty of time to get a beer and have lunch before the next round got close enough for you to spill your tipple :D

I'm going to stop there before you arrive through my roof dangling below a T-10 canopy.I know you know where I live. :D
