hi there, i want to join up,but problem being is that i am a weak swimmer and shite too.i have been taking lessons when i was in the army but still i just cannot get the hang of it.can i still join up i left the army 1 month ago dicharged due to minimum 28 days.(not kicked out) and now thinking of joining the marines.and also what time is a pass for the 3 miler at lympstone?

hi mate,

I did my PRMC at Lympstone in 2005 and it was the hardest thing ive done. The 3 miler has to be done in 22 mins. My advice would be to be able to swim competently before you go as they give you a swimming assesment at lympstone on your PRMC.

If you left the Army why do you think you would like the Corps? I would suggest you get down the pool and start some training (which will also help with your general fitness).
