Basic Training Weight Loss Q

Post by Wannbe_Para »

Hi evereyone i Am just wondering do people usually lose weight after the 26-28 weeks I know that para & rm training is intense enough to do this but is say royal anglians, rifles? etc etc.. not that I'm joining the army to lose weight :-? I am losing weight to join the army. But was just wondering do people tend to lose weight?

I would say you're likely to lose weight, its just common sense since you'll be undergoing intense physical training, it doesnt have to be Para or RM standard, weeks of constant physical fitness will have an effect regardless. As to how much weight, well no idea there :P

YEP. big time! your turned into a lean mean racing snake machine. it puddled me as i was troughin all that lovely (nearly) free food they provide you with in the scoff house - something like 4 to 5000 calories a day! pure and simple its all the training and long hours you put in as a recruit!
