Just Paras unless you do the all arms P-Company.
Basically if you want to jump out of planes, choose the Paras.

You can join the Guards and get into 3 Para after doing P Coy.

ANOTHER QUESTION ABOUT INFANTRY

when you join the infantry how much opertunity is there to specialise in different jobs?

(Driver, Communications, IT Specialist, Sniper, Mortarman, Physical Training Instructor, Storeman, Anti-Tank Missile Crewman, Reconnaissance Soldier, Paratrooper, Combat Medic (paramedic), Assault Engineer, Regimental Policeman or musician.)

Also can you join the infantry to become a reconnaissance soldier or combat medic for example.

You will spend at least a couple of years as a standard rifleman, then you can specialize after that. Plenty of changes to specialize.

Sometimes the problem is that you will be posted to where the vacancies are. I wanted Recce but as there was only one vacancy I was moved to Anti-Tanks. A room mates wanted Mortars and that’s what he got.

As said you would have to do a little time in a rifle platoon first. As for changing, again nothing is certain. However you would not be able to keep chainging as you get bored.

I had a few jumps in a Cessna in the Army and was never in the Para’s.
