It pays to learn a bit of background info about your chosen Regiment/Corps. Try and prepare for most of the obvious questions so you can answer them in a clear and direct way. For example; What sort of training have you been doing to make you think you're ready for the Army?

Give a good think to questions like that; Why you want to join the Army, what your family thinks about you joining etc.

Make sure you have a pretty good idea of what your 1.5 mile time is, it will be asked. Always be enthusiastic, especially when you're asked whether you think you're right for the Army, let your enthusiasm radiate.

Oh, also; make sure you take a bloody tie along with your suit! A lad turned up at my local ACIO looking like he was getting ready to hit the tiles.

Other than that mate, just be honest, don't bother trying to blag it, the recruiters are there to help you not hinder you. Best of luck chap, I'm sure you'll be fine!

Regards,

Ben.

Dawber, Don't think.. know! these people have gone before you so they know.

Don't fidget, swear, or stumble around what you're going to say to much.. I've been to so many job interviews in my time I was used to it. (not because I was a crap employee because allot of work shuts down in my town)

And when they ask about you're life ect don't give them a full story pic 2 major things and then keep them short and sweet.

Think about Body Language, Dont slouch but dont sit ramrod straight.
Engage with your Interviewer and answer all his questions as much as you can.
Remember He is just a guy like you, He is trained to make you feel at ease so Relax and BE YOURSELF.

If they said they will ring you, then they will ring you!
They are really busy right now, so just have a little patience.
You can have peace.
Or you can have freedom.
Don't ever count on having both at once.

Grenider Guards???
Have the British formed a new regiment without telling their allies? I'm getting royally PO'ed at this inattention to spelling.
Recruiters watch this forum and guess what they look for?

Go on,I'll give you two guesses.
