Selection routes

Post by smugelove »

Hi guy's,

I am thinking of getting fit again and did enjoy hill walking when I was in the army years ago.
I am far too old for all that now, but would very much like to walk some of the infamous routes.
A friend of mine said I could just buy an os map of the area, but I would really like to find more specific routes. Follow in the foot steps of some of the guys who have done selction.
Does anyone have any routes that I could try and plot on my map?

Any advise would be great

Routes, coordinates etc can't be posted in the public domain for security reasons. If you hit the right part of Brecon Beacons, you'll probably see some tracks worn in from years of walking though

Some links that may be of interest

Certainly the Endurance route is well known publicly, I'd be surprised if you can't find it on the web somewhere. I'm not sure about security issues - it's kind of hard to miss them if you're vaguely in the right area - but it is frowned upon to publish the routes.
