If i can..?

Post by Lillelj »

Well i passed out on friday (25th) with 956 as an original. we were 955 but the numbers dwindled so we amalgamated with 956 once they had caught up. So training is finally over and that green lid feels incredible on my head. :)

Anyways...

If anyone would like any advice on joining/training or any issues you got (within reason..) i would be more than happy to help if i can.

Best of luck lads.

Nice one pal! I used to box with a lad in your troop. Which unit are you off to?

The commando tests are hard, but you are prepared for it (mentally more than anything).
But the hardest thing for me was probably some of the yomps we did on final ex. GPMG...PING, it was mine  and the link. But i carried it without moaning.
Big thing boys...don't f***in' moan. Hated people who moaned, and so did the training team, so don't do it, ever.

No two people are the same, others will struggle with things you find easy and vica verca.

Welcome to the family Lillelj. It's a good family to belong to by the way. Ages range from 17 to 90 and every family member will help another family member at the drop of a hat. Wear that Lid with pride Oppo! You've earned it!

I really have no grounds to say it, but I would assume the Commando Tests are more or less the proving grounds, and the final rite of passage. If you've made it to the Commando Tests, chances are, you've got the green lid in the bag. I personally have never heard of anyone getting to that point and not passing them.

Congrats mate, god willing I'll have the same satisfaction as you someday.

I thought moaning and dripping was what bootnecks do best  Fair enough to keep a lid on it in training - no dripping and no excuses.

Good effort Lillelj - great feeling eh? Got to go mate - I've come over all envious

Well done fella, bet you're over the moon. And with good reason!

What was the piss-up like after your passing out parade?
