6/60 is for un-aided vision,meaning without glasses. Aided vision in the right eye must be at least 6/12. I failed the test by 1 line i think maybe even less. Still pissed off even thinking about it.
Not being able to join has really messed things up for me. Yes there are other jobs out there but not being able to join because of something so minor is hard to swallow. It's been a year now I think an the feeling of wanting to join han't gone away.

They don't allow contacts in training, you have to wear specs. There are different standards of vision you have to pass unaided and aided. The aided standards are higher.
Yeah you can wear contacts in training. You also get issued pussers specs but they aren't very sexy.
We had a Cpl make us pull our war faces, whilst wearing them, in front of the whole troop. Good times.
