TickTock see your Doc ASAP. When did a website ever suss out a problem with a persons body then? The only person who can suss out your problem is a qualified Doctor of medicine not some fecking website! Thought you were better than that Steve.

Tick Tock, the same has happened to me, and coincidently for my May POC!! (When is yours?)
I was running in about -15 degree weather here in the Great White North, without warm enough pants....yes I’m an idiot...I went to my doctor and he said its just a sprain...

I took a week off, and then went running full out for 4 miles (mistake) and it came back...
Today, on the brighter side of things, I ran 4 miles steady, 20 minutes on the elliptical, and it was fine.
If it doesn’t hurt any other time except when you break 3.5- 4 miles, it's a strain, and you're lucky....rest it, go easy for a bit, stretch and ice it after....that's what my Doc said.
I’m pretty, as you guys say in the UK, gutted, because I can't run full tilt, but I’m just going to keep working on the other stuff, take the running easier, study my POC/AIB notes and hope for the best....
Come POC I don’t care how it feels, I’m going to pop half a million ibuprofen and rock and roll.
My thought is, after the POC and AIB you have 4 months until intake to fix the problem if it persists.

"It'll HELP you to IDENTIFY and HOPEFULLY resolve your knee problem.
I didn't say it would fix it.
However, I did study alternative therapy for a couple of years and am fully conversant with muscle imbalances, including knees.
It also helped me to resolve a long standing problem with one of my knees.
Ticktock: Still see a doctor mate, but I do recommend this site as a source of relevant and useful information as do a number of keen runners whom I know.
Regards
Steve

Crepitis (the noise) is also an indication of inflammation, and arthritis.
Physio will help and atempt that before they stick a large bore needle in your leg to look at it and flush it out.
Stay off the running and swin instead.
See a physio aswell as the GP, as physios are more qualed in this area.

I ''swinned'' down the stairs a fortnight ago when I got home from work to find four tons of skiddy shreddies in the washing basket. Being the dutiful tidy-fairy what (sic) I am, I scooped up said load and on the way down the stairs (y'know, Wholley, the tricky ones with the bend in the middle) missed my footing and left the lower half of my left leg on the fifth step up whilst the rest of my bulk clattered to a halt by the front door.
Bloomin' ouch!!
Anyway, after two weeks of hobbling around like a hobbling person I went to see the Doc today and she said I had something-or-other-itis where the gristle what(sic) holds your knee together has said ''OI!!! ENOUGH!!''
Anyway, be assured that one can sustain painful injuries whilst dealing with extreme washing. One doesn't have to be in the military.

I will persevere with the laundry under medical supervision if you lot do the same. (Not with laundry, obviously )
