Less splash, ie. doesn't attract attention, so you don't get shot and die.

No i'm pretty sure its just breast stroke pal.
Jump off, swim, drag yourself out the pool. As said before, breast stroke is more tactical than the other techniques as its only your head above water.

It is if you wear a hairnet and don't put your head under the water like the old women at my local pool. They go so slow it can't be doing them any good.
Crawl is pretty hard to to under water as well...

breast stroke girly? Im sorry but the last time i checked anything that involves me stroking breasts isnt 'girly'...while theres a girl involved of course...
but yes as said before its quite, doesnt break the water as much as say freestyle and is low intensity so you can if need be swim like that for much longer than freestyle which is why the old ladies at the pool do it. It also doesnt move the core of your body as much so its easier to do when you have your webbing on i'd assume.

well im always seeing fat old lasys doing endless amounts of the breast stroke and never doing the front crawl so the breast stroke is the easiest

Then you shouldn't have any concerns about passing it should you. On another note, surely back stroke is easier than breast stoke.
